Aberdeen has a rich history and striking architecture with a lot to offer visitors

Newly renovated Aberdeen Youth Hostel is located in a quiet residential area on the west side of the Granite City, within walking distance of the city centre and its many attractions.

For the sociable traveller the city centre is packed with cafes, restaurants, bars and nightlife. If it’s history and culture you’re after, visit the Maritime Museum, St Machar’s Cathedral, The Satrosphere Science Centre and Aberdeen Art Gallery. More adventurous? Take to the waves on a boat trip to watch the dolphins that skirt the fringes of the busy harbour. Families can enjoy Codona’s Pleasure Fair down at the Esplanade, and the beach is famous for its long, long curve of golden sand between the harbour and the mouth of the River Don.

Other attractions in the immediate area include the picturesque fishing village of Footdee. Or travel inland, where Braemar and beautiful Royal Deeside are easily accessible within an hour by car.

The 4-star youth hostel offers a range of shared accommodation and private rooms, some ensuite. New facilities include contemporary living space with TV and wood burning stove, a large self-catering kitchen and modern dining area.

Continental breakfast and packed lunches can be arranged on request. Laundry facilities and luggage storage are available and WiFi access is free. There’s a small amount of free private parking and bicycle storage. A bus stop 200m away provides regular services into the city centre.
