Birdworld is a great day out for all ages. Set in 26 acres of landscaped gardens, the bird collection is one of the largest in the UK and includes many endangered and conservation species.
For younger visitors, the ‘Jenny Wren Farm’ is always popular and a day at Birdworld is never complete without a tour around the aquarium, ‘Underwater World’. For a small donation, children can join in with the ‘Conservation Trail’. Not only does this help directly with the current fund raising project but is also a chance of winning a family membership for a whole year.
There is lots of seating and picnic areas around the park or alternatively you can enjoy a meal in the restaurant. Menus include healthy options, organics and fair trade choices.
Don’t miss the ‘Greener Route’ by train with directions for a beautiful half hour walk from Bentley station to Birdworld via the Alice Holt Forest.
