Our table service café in the Gallery of Modern Art Two – the renowned home of Surrealist art in Scotland – is rather fittingly set around Paolozzi’s vast Vulcan sculpture, surely one of the more unusual backdrops to lunch.
Easily accessible by a very pleasant stroll along the Water of Leith or a 2 minute drive from the city centre with plenty of parking, Café Modern Two is the sister café to Café Modern One, offering daily changing ‘cooked-from-scratch’ set lunch menus and of course still our signature home-baking and fabulous coffee, and peach of a short but perfectly-formed wine list. We also serve our highly acclaimed Afternoon Tea, where you’ll enjoy a cake stand laden with gourmet sandwiches, homemade scones with lashing of cream and (homemade) jam, along with a fabulous assortment of freshly made savoury & sweet treats. Afternoon is served daily from 2-4pm, why not make a reservation today.
