Cairngorm Lodges are located in the heart of Royal Deeside on the boundary of the Cairngorm’s National Park. They provide the ideal location to get away from it all and take advantage of all the area has to offer from walking,cycling,geocaching, horseriding and skiing to golf and fishing.
The surrounding area is steeped in history with many castles and sites of historic interest which are all within a short distance of the lodges.
The Lodges have been finished to a high standard and offer a double and a twin bedroom, a bathroom with walk in shower and a fully fitted kitchen. 4 persons are comfortably accomodated.Luxury organic fair trade bed linen and towels are provided.
The lounge is spacious where you can relax in comfort with a homely wood burning stove and TV. The woodburning stove provides the hot water which in turn heats the radiators in every room. An abundant supply of logs is provided from the estates own forests along with a BBQ and picnic table for those warm summer evenings.
The estate is a haven for many species of wildlife and wild flowers; guests are frequently visited by red squirrels and roe deer. Night time walks in the forest allow guests the perfect opportunity to marvel at our starry night skies.
Pets are most welcome and indeed dogs thoroughly enjoy the forest walks right on their door step.
Cairngorm Lodges are about an hour from Aberdeen Airport and Aberdeen City Centre.
To reach Cairngorm Lodges travel along the North Deeside road through the famous towns and villages that make up Royal Deeside. Proceed through Banchory, Kincardine O’Neill, Aboyne and on to Dinnet. Between Aboyne and Dinnet you will be informed that you are entering both the Cairngorms and the Highlands of Scotland, by virtue of two inscriptions on two rocks.
As you enter Dinnet you will encounter the first of three brown tourist road signs which will help you find Cairngorm Lodges. After that it is simple, right turn at Dinnet (sign posted Huntly, Logie Coldstone and the The Lecht ski centre) here you will find another brown tourist sign pointing to Cairngorm Lodges 4 miles from this junction.
Proceed on to Logie Coldstone. As you approach the village there are two thirty mile an hour road signs that you can see simultaneously. One of the signs is a forewarning that you are approaching a 30 mile an hour zone the other sign is the 30 mile an hour zone. Cairngorm Lodges main entrance is situated in to the right between the signs.
As you approach Logie Coldstone village you will see the third and final tourist road sign an arrow again with Cairngorm Lodges and the entrance to the cabins and lodges is on the right.
