Historic records show that golf has been played in St Andrews for more than 600 years although many believe the game’s origins here date back to the 12th Century. The St Andrews Links Castle Clubhouse was newly built to accompany the Castle Course in 2008 which is situated on a rugged cliff-top with spectacular views over St Andrews.
As popular as the course itself, The Castle Course Clubhouse is well worth a visit. With a circular glass front and terrace, alfresco dining is available during the warmer months. Private functions and weddings are available from Nov-Feb when the course is closed meaning this fantastic space is exclusively yours.
Facilities include free parking, bag drop, warm up area, showers, lockers, as well as the Castle Shop and Halfway House Restaurant .
