Housed in a Grade II listed building Cohort is stylish, contemporary and comfortable.
Beds in dorms have been custom made to ensure an element of privacy even in a shared room. Each bed has its own lockable storage space, privacy curtain, USB port, plug socket and individual light. Bathroom facilities are super clean, super green and ideal for groups and individuals alike.
There are mixed dorm rooms, female only dorm rooms and private rooms.
Facilities include a hot shower in the courtyard (for showering off after a surf), dry room, laundry, dining room, self-catering kitchen, lounge, bar, vending machine, reception services (8am – 10pm), free WiFi, free Netflix and a private courtyard.
Prices range from £15/night in winter to £26/night in the summer.
We are within a 10 minute walk of all St Ives beaches, the harbour, Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden, Leach Pottery, SW Coast Path and both the bus and train stations. We are close to all St Ives’ bars, restaurants and eateries and next door to a Co-Op supermarket, open 7 days a week 7am – 11pm.
Direct train from London Paddington – Penzance every hour (5.5 hours). Get off at St Erth, the stop before Penzance, and take the picturesque branch line train 10 minutes along the coast to St Ives.
National Express bus 3 times a day from London Victoria – St Ives (8.5 hours)
Fly to Newquay Airport from Gatwick or Stansted. You can also fly into Newquay from Belfast, Birmingham, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Edinburgh, Isles of Scilly, Liverpool, Manchester & Newcastle.
National Express bus 3 times a day Newquay – St Ives (1 hour)
We are a 5-7 minute walk from the train station. Follow the main road into St Ives town centre (if you’re coming from the train station walk through the car park to find it) and keep following it as it turns sharply to the right and goes downhill. When you reach the Nat West bank on the corner of Gabriel Street turn left. Walk past the library and then the Co-Op supermarket (on your right) to find Cohort after that on your right hand side.

If you’re coming by car TURN OFF YOUR SATNAV as it will take you on a merry dance around St Ives.
From the A30 turn off on the A3074 signposted St Ives, follow the road, ignoring signs for ‘Day Visitors’ and the Tate, for about 2 miles into St Ives. At the St Ives Harbour Hotel & Spa turn right off the road into the main town and keep following the road until it turns sharply to the right and goes downhill.
