Cranmer Country Cottages
Cranmer Country Cottages is an exclusive collection of luxury holiday cottages situated in the beautiful countryside close to the North Norfolk Heritage Coast, Holkham and Burnham Market.
Set in over 175 acres of farmland, the cottages were converted from a Victorian dairy farm and now offer 4 and 5 star luxury accommodation in stylish, spacious properties. The cottages are on one level with open plan living/dining and open out onto individual terraces with barbecues; from the terrace parents can enjoy a glass of wine while watching their children play in the large paddock at the rear of all the properties. This paddock is completely fenced in, making it a safe environment for children to let off steam, make new friends and observe the abundant wildlife. One-bed Coot has its own private terrace and is perfect for grandparents who want their own space. The complex also features a luxury heated indoor swimming pool, open all year round, 2 all-weather tennis courts, a children’s adventure play area and a games room for pool, table tennis and darts.
Cranmer is perfect for experiencing North Norfolk’s wide open spaces with golden beaches, cycling on quiet country lanes or sampling some of the best of local pubs and restaurants. It’s also the perfect bolthole for avid birdwatchers to access North Norfolk’s nature and bird reserves. If all that nature is just a bit too much, there are plenty of independent shops in Holt, Burnham Market and Wells-Next-The-Sea where you can find a range of locally produced and exclusive merchandise to browse. There is also a wide choice of antique shops and galleries.
You can chose from three 5 star luxury eco cottages, with a boutique hotel appeal or from five 4 star cottages combining contemporary country chic with practical well equipped family friendly interiors. Cottages sleep from 2 to 6; three sets of adjoining cottages can be linked to sleep 8, 11 and 12 – perfect for large family gatherings or holidays with friends. Bedrooms have crisp white linen and fluffy towels and bathrooms are fully tiled and sparkling clean with contemporary fittings. Wagtail and Swallow both have woodburning stoves for those cosy winter evenings.
There is also The Green Room, a specially equipped facility for meetings and presentations or for dinners and parties where guests have booked more than one cottage for that special family get-together. Activity holidays are also available; there are more details on the website.
All the cottages are equipped with cookers (Owl and Swallow both have additional Rayburn cookers), fridge/freezer, dishwasher, WiFi, television (Freeview), dvd player, iPod dock, barbecue, travel cot and highchair. Baby-friendly extras include booster seats, baby monitors and blackout blinds. Although the cottages are self catering you can book frozen meals, picnic hampers, breakfast packs and ready meals, all made with fresh local produce and short food miles to be delivered to your cottage. Milk, tea, coffee and a locally baked cake are ready in your cottage on arrival so you can kick off your shoes, settle the kids and have a lovely cup of tea.
