EarthSpirit is an award-winning retreat centre just five miles from Glastonbury. Groups of all kinds come to EarthSpirit for the ample private workshop space, the beautiful vegetarian food, our long-standing eco commitment and our peaceful, picturesque surroundings.
The centre has been evolving for 30 years and the once derelict seventeenth century farm buildings have been restored and specially converted for use as a venue. The ethos underlying the building works has been to renew and replace using traditional techniques and materials to maintain the character of the farm.
EarthSpirit offers 7 acres of land and gardens, meeting rooms, a spa and hot tub. Accommodation, both en suite and standard, is in renovated farm buildings and our new Cordwood block, built using green building methods with lots of insulation and a turf roof. Caravans, yurts, bell tents, tipis are also available, along with camping. Although we can host very large groups, we also take smaller workshops and private B&B bookings.
The centre is situated in a beautiful landscape next to two nature reserves; and just two minutes walk from St Andrew’s church, which has within its cemetery a yew tree over 1,700 years old.
EarthSpirit is just 20 minutes from junction 23 on the M5 and 20 minutes from the British Rail inter-city stop at Castle Cary. EarthSpirit is two and a half hours drive from central London (M3/A303) and one hour from Bristol.
