Oliver Twist Estate Winery
398 Lupine Lane
Tucked into the rugged desert hills of Oliver, BC’s renowned Black Sage Bench, Oliver Twist Estate Winery is a family-operated winery and vineyard proudly tended to by owners Gina and Trevor Mitchell. Dedicated to growing and carefully selecting top quality grapes, Oliver Twist’s philosophy has long been: Quality Vines to Quality Wines. With grapes grown on Oliver Twist’s own 17 acres, as well as top varietals acquired from neighbouring vineyards, Winemaker Gina is passionate about creating exceptional, hand-crafted wines including aromatic fruit-forward whites, rich and flavourful reds and of course our flagship Kerner.
With a vision to own a vineyard and to one day make exceptional wines, Denice and Bruce Hagerman purchased the property that was to become Oliver Twist Estate Winery in 2002. The Hagermans began their great adventure in winemaking with dedication, a passion for making remarkable wine, an unwavering work ethic that always includes a bit of fun every day, and an innate desire to build great relationships with their customers. By 2006, they’d planted 17 acres of grapes and that same year, with invaluable help from winemaking consultant Christine Leroux, they produced their first vintage with grapes purchased from other vineyards. Today, the Oliver Twist Estate Winery produces award-winning wines; and the vineyard comprises 27,000 French vinifera vines including Kerner, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Syrah, and Merlot.
The Hagermans are always looking ahead to their next big project, and so Denice and Bruce starting looking for another property to develop. When they found it, they were able to make a dream come true for the Mitchells, bringing them into the Oliver Twist Estate Winery family two years ago. This transition formed a partnership that would have an outstanding team bring the winery to even greater success. Referring to Denice and Bruce as their “fairy godparents,” Gina and Trevor Mitchell are honoured to take the wheel of Oliver Twist and steer it toward a prosperous and productive future.
