South West Lakes Trust, Stithians Lake
Stithians Lake in Cornwall is reputed to be one of the windiest inland waters in England. You can enjoy a range of water-based activities including sailing, windsurfing and kayaking as well as land based activities such as climbing and archery.
In addition to the centre there is a children’s play area overlooking the lake, a trim trail for those who enjoy land based fitness, and a newly surfaced cycle way leading to the dam. With over five and a half miles of bank, walkers and bird watchers will enjoy the peaceful surroundings and bird hides.
Stithians Lake is one of England’s most westerly trout fisheries and is regularly stocked with rainbow trout and contains a natural head of brown trout. There is a campsite adjacent to the water’s edge and a cafe onsite for light lunches and refreshment.
