South West Lakes Trust, Upper Tamar Lake
Upper Tamar Lake
This idyllic and little known lake is situated in a beautiful rural setting in North Cornwall. Only four minutes from the A39 this site is both easily accessed and well signposted. Managed by South West Lakes Trust, Upper Tamar Lake looks to cater for the diverse tastes of the South West’s tourism industry without compromising the conservational requirements of the surrounding habitat. Angling, kayaking and canoeing, sailing, camping, walking, biking and bird watching can all be enjoyed at this peaceful location. Our on site café also offers a range of hot and cold refreshments. A network of footpaths link the Upper Tamar site to Lower Tamar Lake where visitors can enjoy the stunning nature reserve and many wildfowl that frequent the area.
