Set in farmland, mainly grazed by sheep and wildlife, with two small woodlands plus a new area, recently planted with 1200 broadleaf and native trees. Stunning views, starlit skies with walking/cycling from the door. Swallows Rest is a barn conversion offering a comfortable modern feel – wooden floors in the bedrooms and living room, LED lighting, free-sat TV, i-pod dock and wi-fi.
Swallows Rest is on single floor with central kitchen-living room – very well equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge area. The two bedrooms (both with zip & link beds which can be arranged as either 6′ superking or twin beds) are both en suite. Ample outside sitting out area with small wild flower meadow and car parking for two cars.
Own water from spring/bore hole. An air source heat pump heats both the cottage and hot water with solar panels additionally heating the water. We have a wind turbine and photovoltaic panels and thus your stay with us can be considered as very earth friendly.
