The Lodge can accommodate up to 38 people in 14 rooms, with most rooms having a bunk and single bed. There are shared bathrooms and a lounge/dining area. We have a new fitted kitchen, ideal for self catering for groups, or our on site Beech Cafe is open daily 10am-4pm (except Christmas) and can provide packed lunches and evening meals if ordered in advance. Costs include all bed linen, including a towel, and a ‘help yourself’ continental breakfast.
Our small, family friendly campsite which includes a Tipi and 3 Yurts, as well as 10 camping pitches and secluded camping bays. We have 2 compost toilets and 3 solar showers, as well as open fire pits and a clay pizza oven! We sell firewood from the Lodge.
Our nearest train station is Petersfield about 7 miles away, from which you can catch buses to East Meon or Clanfield (both about 2miles from the Centre). Buses from Petersfield are the 52 or 67 to East Meon and the 37 to Clanfield (get off at the Rising Sun Pub if you intend to walk). You can also catch the 41/X41 from Portsmouth to Clanfield.
On foot from Clanfield (About 2.5 miles/ 45 mins):
From the Rising Sun Pub in Clanfield head up East Meon Road, which has a brown signpost for the Sustainability Centre. After about 150m, by the school, take Little Hyden Road on your right hand side. Follow Little Hyden Road all the way up and it turns into a byway and finally into a footpath. Where the path becomes a footpath there is a bridleway going off to the right- do not take it! Continue straight up the hill on the footpath through the woods, through a kissing gate and turn left. Follow the edge of the field at the outskirts of the wood. The footpath meets the South Downs Way on the brow of the hill. Follow the SDW to the left until you reach the Sustainability Centre.
To car share to the Sustainability Centre see link on our website: http://www.sustainability-centre.org/find.php
By Car: From A3 take the road into Clanfield. Turn right in to East Meon Lane, on the bend by the Rising Sun pub, where there is a brown sign signpost to the ‘Sustainability Centre’. Follow the road for about 2 miles – the last mile is up hill through woods. At the top of the hill turn left by a cottage onto the Droxford Road. Continue for about 400 yrd and the Centre is on the left
