The Wellbeing Farm
Wheatsheaf Hill Farm
The Wellbeing Farm started trading in April 2013 and involves the transformation of a neglected farm into a state-of-the-art events and courses venue attracting global sponsorship and media attention due to its innovative operating model.
The business combines the three pillars of sustainability (environmental, social and economic) and ‘Five ways to wellbeing’ forms the base of activities provided at the farm, but sustainability lies at the heart of The Wellbeing Farm’s operating model and is the golden thread which flows throughout the business.
The business employs local people and is predominantly a wedding and events venue, but serves quirky afternoon teas on occasional Sundays. The business also operates a Cookery School specialising in Butchery Classes and a unique tourist attraction – llama trekking!
